0152. Vasudev Balwant Phadke

|| Shri Swami Samarth ||

The great revolutionary leader Vasudev Balwant Phadke, with his plans for the overthrow of British rule, had come to Akkalkot a few times to meet Maharaj and to seek his blessings. However, Maharaj never granted him permission.

Every time Vasudev Balwant Phadke went to Maharaj, he placed his sword in front of him with a desire that Maharaj would hand him the sword, thus ensuring his victory.

Maharaj knew the past, present, and future. He called for a servant and instructed him to keep the sword on a tree.

Vasudev Balwant Phadke was disappointed and left, taking his sword with him. From then onwards, in spite of his great ability, bravery, and courage, victory eluded him, and he was martyred.

From this, we learn that if we do something to which Maharaj had said 'No', in spite of our best efforts and intellect, we will not be successful.
